Landis Park is home to the township ice skating rink. In 2003, modifications were made to an existing storm water retention basin in order to allow for the flooding of the basin in winter for use as an ice skating pond. Additional work in 2005 further leveled the bottom of the retention basin to allow the use of less water and quicker freezing. A portion of the rink is set aside for ice hockey while the remainder of the rink is for family skating. During winter months, keep your eye on the thermometer and the green & red flags posted as condition indicators. In 2013 the Township added its newest feature to the Park, a Born Learning Trail. The colorful signs are designed to create early learning opportunities by providing interactive prompts for small children and their parents/caregivers.
