Do you have an unlisted phone number?
Consider registering with the Community Alert Network (CAN), a sophisticated warning system that operates around the clock to alert residents of emergency/disaster information such as evacuation notices.   CAN uses a computerized database of telephone numbers to automatically dial your local telephone number with a recorded emergency related  message.  If you have an unlisted number, you are not in the CAN system.  Therefore, unless you register, you will not be notified of emergency situations in your area.  Register today.

Premise Alert System
The Premise Alert System is a safety program that supports individuals living with disabilities as well as Police Officers responding to calls within a specific address.  It allows families to voluntarily notify the police and other first responders about their special circumstances.  It may be a child or adult with autism, developmental delays, mental retardation, or a Alzheimer patient who wanders.  The Premise Alert System also helps police departments identify individuals who have special needs which will enable the responding officer to have additional information at his/her disposal.  You need to send a copy of the form (see link) to your 911 center with directions to have them entered into the address database as a Special Needs Premise Alert.  This form will give first responders critical information during a dispatch and response during a crisis situation.    LINK HERE...
