Plumstead Township provides its residents with municipal services such as police protection, road maintenance, code enforcement, and public parks. The following is a list of major departments within the Township and an overview of their functions. Department links are provided above. An organization chart is provided as well.
Administration - provides overall management of the organization and internal support functions. Includes township manager, public meetings, and public records functions.
Code Enforcement - ensures compliance with Township ordinances including building and zoning enforcement.
Finance - ensures sound financial management of the Township through annual budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivables. This department also provides the payroll functions and maintains construction escrow accounts.
Fire – ensures compliance with the fire code as well as providing fire investigation, prevention education. Firefighting is provided to residents by volunteer fire companies.
Planning & Land Use - Oversees the subdivision and land development application review process, land preservation program, grant procurement and management. This department also serves as staff liason to the Planning Commission, the Environmental Advisory Council and the Historic Adivisory Council.
Police – provides public safety including patrol, crime investigation & prevention, and administration.
Public Works – oversees road maintenance, public water supplies, and parks & recreation. |
